In today's tutorial, we will learn how to make a Santa placemat set. With raw edge applique and no separate binding (we just fold over the backing instead) you can get your table and kitchen ready for the holidays in no time at all.
For this project you will need:
- fabric scraps for applique
- front fabric
- backing fabric
- cotton batting
- paper backed fusible web like HeatNBond Lite
- fabric clips or pins
- scissors or rotary cutter, cutting ruler, and cutting mat
- iron and ironing board
- sewing machine and matching thread
- optional basting spray, walking foot or free motion foot, stabilizer
- printable template from the pattern
