In today's tutorial, we will learn how to make a quilted heart potholder using fabric scraps and strips. This hot pad uses raw edge applique, a simple self binding, and mitered corners. This project is easy for beginners and also makes a great gift!
For this project you will need:
- fabric strips
- fabric for the hearts
- backing fabric
- paper back fusible web like HeatNBond Lite
- cotton batting OR Insul-Bright
- fabric clips or pins
- scissors or rotary cutter, cutting ruler, and cutting mat
- iron and ironing board
- sewing machine and matching thread
- optional fabric for hanging loop
- optional walking foot and basting spray
- printable template from the pattern
